Interesting. I have a 6S Sapphire and with the backlight on it has the bluer tint, not the darker that your video is showing the sapphire. At least it seems bluer to me but I don't have a non-sapphire to compare it to. Sapphire glass is much heavier than the Gorilla Glass DX. In common terms, a Gorilla Glass DX weighs one-third of the Sapphire glass. For lean and thin watches, it makes all the more sense to use a Gorilla Glass DX on the lens of the watch.
It's definitely better. In terms of scratch resistance, Hardlex occupies the space between mineral glass and sapphire. Mineral glass is 100% silica (not accounting for impurities). Hardlex has added boron and proprietary heat treatment which makes it objectively harder than mineral glass.
