1) The violence. Violence is a tricky topic to convey properly, and the Hunger Games couldn't pull it off. It became repetitive. And it's the plot's fault, really, because when you have the whole "kids kill kids" thing going, it's really hard to do it right. Of course, some have - William Golding here.
Letting my young daughter try to wrap her 10 year-old head around the Hunger Games would just be wrong. And when it comes to the movies, that's just a flat out N-O. Not happening.
I would not allow any 11 yr old to watch it. That being said your her mother and you should watch it before allowing her to see it. She most likely will have access to the movie via friend or internet. Explain to her what its about how kids are being murdered by other kids. 2 moms found this helpful.
