I also have bleached curly hair along with a keratin treatment so perhaps a protein treatment would work best for you but for me I can’t since it will undo the keratin. Totally go for it. I’ve tried apogee last year and didn’t feel like it did much for strengthening my hair.
Keratin treatment for men’s hair can also help to add volume, softness, and shine to dull and lackluster hair. This leads to more manageable hair that doesn’t frizz up on humid days. The treatment can also last for a few months, so it’s a worthwhile investment if you’re looking to keep your hair healthy and manageable. Pre-poo - Virgin coconut oil + Kottakal neel bringadhi oil. Shampoo - Biotique neem (because I got 800ml bottle and I need to empty it 🙂) Any sulphate free shampoo will work. L’Oréal clay shampoo (monthly twice to remove all buildups) Conditioner - Re’equil murmuru conditioner. Arata hair cream.

My hair is very similar except I have low porosity. But it’s very fine and dense so really tough to manage, and because it’s low porosity, it’s hard to weigh the volume down with any moisture. My hair basically looks as voluminous in the shower as it does when it’s dry lol. Debating doing a keratin treatment but it seems like such a gamble.

I even do this treatment on clients with extremely damaged hair (I just make sure the flat iron is at a low temperature) and the hair ends up in much better shape than it was before. The keratin complex brand is the only OSHA complied brand. Much safer than others out there.
