The UI is fine in some areas it's one of the best VR UIs but in general UI is a annoyance in VR. It is the best VR adaption. I have hundreds of hours in NO Mans Sky but the frequent content updates have yet to even attempt to address the gameplay loop problem and there is a core part of the player base completely opposed to it being addressed.
Hello Games today revealed that No Man's Sky: Beyond will arrive on August 14th. No Man's Sky: Beyond is a free upgrade and consists of 3 main parts and one of them is VR support for PC and PS4, this mode has been tested by some websites and they have already previewed it, with excellent critical reception. It's not the graphics cards that are causing the VR issues though, it's heavily reliant on the CPU which, as far as I recall is what the HMDs also rely on for tracking etc. UPDATE2 - UNPLAYABLE (FOR ME) IN VR. This thread delivers the changes required to get it running properly. Still not perfect, but getting damn near! Valve employees themselves have started to pile on with how poorly the optimization is. We can't get the game to run smoothly at lowest settings at 0.7 SS. Before 2020, i5-4460, gtx 970, playing No Mans Sky VR with acceptable framerate, I do not remember lagging. Now - with i5-13600KF and 3060 ti, the gpu 3060 ti is bottlenecked at 99% if I do not use DLSS-Performance. If I used DLSS-Performance I get blurred image but the FPS is mostly 90, sometimes drops to 80 and GPU is at around 75%. Quite a few of us PC VR players have found it helpful to set the resolution on the regular, flat-screen monitor to 800x600 before starting the game. It has zero effect on the resolution of the VR headset, but it stops the second copy of the game from ever making it to the screen, cutting a significant amount of load. FGAU6Az.
